Jeff Bolster, Ph.D.

Vice President for University Services

Dr. Jeff Bolster is Vice President for University Services at ¹ú²ú͵ÅÄ, responsible for Campus Facilities, Instructional Technology Services, Public Safety, Food Services, the bookstore and Auxiliary Services. He’s a member of the President’s Cabinet.  

Jeff served in the Office of Spiritual Development from 1993 – 2007, with various responsibilities around ¹ú²ú͵ÅÄ’s vibrant international ministries efforts. He then transitioned to the role of Dean of Students until the summer of 2018. That role included both residential life and student conduct. Jeff’s research, publications and presentations have focused on the integration of student development theory into the lived student university experience. Jeff has also taught as an adjunct professor at the University of San Diego and National University, as well as in the departments of Education, Business and Graduate and Extended Studies at ¹ú²ú͵ÅÄ.

Jeff studied religion as an undergrad at ¹ú²ú͵ÅÄ and graduated in 1993. He completed his master’s degree in theology at ¹ú²ú͵ÅÄ in 2001, researching the role of the faith community during the Rwandan genocide. His Ph.D. was completed at the University of San Diego’s School of Leadership and Education Sciences, with his dissertation work looking into the impact of mentoring on the undergraduate experience.
